LRTC Wild Horse Mentors' Special Feature
BUTTERFIELD STALLIONS
AT PLAY

The subject of this movie clip is a group of over 100 "wild" stallions at the BLM Butterfield Corrals (UT) that started showing off and playing when a tour party of about 30 Wild Horse Mentors visited their corral. We were all inside the large, wooded corral when the horses started playing all around us. What a thunderous and exhilarating experience!

Please note: This movie (wmv) file is over 11 MB in size. We don't recommend downloading it from a dialup internet connection unless you plan to dedicate your connection to retrieving the file for a while. It can take a long time to download. The movie has been "optimized" (compressed) for practical use on the internet so the color and clarity are somewhat affected, but it certainly is enjoyable.

The wmv format can be viewed using Windows Media Player Version 9, or equivalent media viewing software capable of playing wmv movie clips.

(Depending on internet traffic volumes the video may hesitate the first time it runs. If this situation occurs, please simply replay the video before you close the media player window. It should run properly the second time through. You might prefer to simply download and save the video file and play it from your hard drive. If your web browser doesn't give you a choice to either view or save the download, you can usually click the link with your right mouse button and use the "Save Link As" function.)
